Beta 6.0

The latest version of AURIN’s flagship facility, the ‘Portal’, went live on the 3rd of April. This version has seen the implementation of many improvements ‘under-the-hood’ to harden and scale the existing infrastructure and optimize code and attend to bugs. The user-interface is unchanged from Beta-5A but new data and improved tools and visualisations have been released.


  • 150 new datasets have been released with many more to come over the next few weeks.
  • Datasets from the Public Health Information Development Unit (PHIDU) have been refreshed and 16 new datasets added
  • The National Centre for Social and Economic Modelling NATSEM have added 11 new Australian Capital Region (ACR)

    Indicator datasets

  • Data from the CSIRO Energy and Water Project has come on-line
  • 80 Country Level Datasets have been added by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS)
  • New datasets have been added from the National Water Commission and NICTA have added their Household Travel Survey datasets.
